The pieces by Arvo Pärt, Benjamin Britten and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov will be presented within the framework of the 2nd Aram Khachaturian International Festival

A concert dedicated to the 170th anniversary of Russian famous composer Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and the 145th anniversary of the renowned businessman and philanthropist Calouste Gulbenkian will be held within the framework of the 2nd Aram Khachaturian International Festival on November 27 at 19:00 at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall.

The State Youth Orchestra will present the following program:

Cantus in Memoriam Benjamin Britten for String Orchestra and Bell

(Armenian premiere)

Benjamin Britten

Cello Symphony

Soloist: Philip Higham (cello/ UK)

 

Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov

"Scheherazade" Symphonic Poem

The concert is being implemented under the patronage of the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Armenia.
