Zakhar Bron. “It has been a real pleasure working with the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia!”

The Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall was overflowing with excitement and joyous atmosphere on September 30. The State Youth Orchestra of Armenia appeared on the same stage with 3 outstanding, brilliant soloists – the world-renowned violinist and pedagogue Zakhar Bron, the famous pianist Vag Papian and 15-year-old violinist Mone Hattori , who, despite her young age, has already managed to conquer the world’s great stages. The concert was held within the framework of the 2nd Aram Khachaturian International Festival.

During the first part of the concert the audience was presented the Piano Concerto by Edvard Grieg (soloist - Vag Papian, piano / Israel), which was followed by the Double Concerto for Two Violins, Strings and Basso Continuo by Johann Sebastian Bach (soloists - Zakhar Bron, violin / Germany; Mone Hattori, violin / Japan) and the Violin Concerto No. 1 by Henryk Wieniawski (soloist - Mone Harttori, violin / Japan) in the second part.

Vag Papian noted, that he had been involved in the program of the festival for the first time. The pianist also expressed his strong belief that the festival would have a long-lasting life. “I have built up a warm working relationships with the Youth Orchestra and its leader Sergey Smbatyan. This new generation of musicians will inherit the traditions of the Armenian performing school and will pass them to the future generations, "- said Vahagn Papyan. According to the musician,  the concert program was chosen jointly with Sergey Smbatyan. “Grieg's Piano Concerto, which will be presented to the audience today, is one of the most popular and beloved pieces.”

Speaking of the cooperation with the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia, Zakhar Bron emphasized the enormous enthusiasm and skills of the Armenian musicians: “It has been a real pleasure working with the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia!”

Sergey Smbatyan, the artistic director and principal conductor of the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia admitted that he felt a great responsibility before the concert, since he had also been Bron’s student.

The concert was dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the violinist Avet Gabrielyan.  Thanks to VivaCell-MTS, the general partner of the Youth Orchestra, the concert was online broadcast on the official websites of the festival and SYOA - www.akhif.am , www.syoa.am .
